- A Brief History of the Gator Cake -

For big Games Kay "Gator Mom" Wood makes her famous Gator Cake.

How the Cake Helped Beat FSU in 1997

In "South Bay Swamp" history the Gators rarely lose when a Gator Victory Cake has been baked. Saturday, November 22, was no different! Late in the game after the Noles had long run resulting in first and goal. Gator Power was needed. The Gator Victory Cake was cut at this time to supply Gator Power and the rest is history!

Chant: "EAT THE CAKE, EAT THE CAKE!"

Chant: "EAT THE CAKE, EAT THE CAKE!"
Gators throw a bomb to Quez Green and Fred' Taylor's second run puts the Gators ahead, 32-29!
